When I first started in Sleep Medicine back in 2011, I gotta say that I did not fully appreciate the plight of the person sleeping next to the CPAP user.
Then It Was My Turn
A few years ago, the tables turned. And I found myself getting frozen out by my bedpartner's CPAP therapy.
It doesn't matter how high the tube temp and humidity settings are - I always feel like I'm getting blasted with cold (and old) air from hubby's mask.
It Doesn't Have To Be This Way
I was delighted when a mask manufacturer came out with a quieter mask option that wouldn't freeze out the bedpartner.
In the video below below, I'll get into why I like the Fisher & Paykel Brevida and what the diffuser is all about.
Unfortunately my hubby won't be switching masks anytime soon, so we're running with pillow and blanket barriers to keep the chill off me while he breathes like a dream.
